Cross Country Run 2023
On your mark, get set, go!
The interscholastic running event “Cross Country Run 2023” of the Baselland International School took place on April 27, 2023.
The event was supported by the Raiffeisenbank Leimental as the main sponsor. Pupils of the 2nd – 6th grades of four bilingual schools from the Basel region competed in a 1.5-kilometer round-robin race with start and finish at the «Güggelchrütz» barbecue area in Oberwil.
The demanding course led along Neuwilerstrasse, across the field, back to the finish line. Parents and spectators were welcome along the course and cheered on the young runners.
After the race, all participants gathered together with their families and teachers for a picnic - accompanied by the exciting announcements of the prize-giving ceremony.
The Cross Country Run was a great success and showed once again how sport promotes networking and team spirit in the region.
