Ina S. Nicosia gründete Kids Camp im Jahre 2002 mit der Idee ein zweisprachiges Ferienbetreuungsangebot mit Sport, Musik und kulturellen Aktivitäten während den Schulferien anzubieten. Die Camps wuchsen schnell und umfassten in der Blütezeit zwischen 300 und 400 Camper pro Jahr.
2007 gründete Nicosia zusammen mit Bettina Schelker die Nicosia-Schelker AG und startete mit der ersten Kid’s Camp Kita. Zwei Jahre später kam der Kindergarten hinzu und im Jahr 2011 eröffnete die KCI eine Babygruppe und eine Primarschule.
Ina Nicosia hat einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Kommunikation mit dem Nebenfach Sportwissenschaft und dem Schwerpunkt Grundschulpädagogik. Ausserdem hat sie einen Master-Abschluss in Sportunterricht / Sportverwaltung und ein internationales Zertifikat für den Unterricht von Englisch als Fremdsprache.
Ina Nicosia kann auf eine intensive Karriere als Sportlerin und Profibasketballspielerin zurückblicken: Während ihrem Studium an der University of Richmond war sie im Division 1 Leichtathletik- und Basketball-Team und nahm an drei Olympia Qualifikationsturnieren teil. Sie spielte als Profibasketballspielerin in Belgien, war Basketball-Trainerin an der James Madison University, Central Michigan University und der American University und kam schliesslich im Jahre 2001 als Profibasketballerin in die Schweiz.
Ina Nicosia hat als Basketballtrainerin hier in der Schweiz drei nationale Meisterschaften gewonnen und war Delegationsleiterin der Schweizer Nationalmannschaft bei den Europameisterschaften. Sie hat als Head International Scout für die WNBA Combines und das NCAA Final Four gearbeitet, das von Global 1 Sports veranstaltet wurde.
Zuvor war sie an der International School of Basel tätig und leitete die Englischabteilung der Swiss International School.

Adrian Orford first joined the BLIS team in 2009 as a camp coach. In 2014, he took over as the coordinator of the After School Care program. The following year, he joined the Primary team as a teacher. In 2021, he was named Assistant Principal of the entire school program. In 2022, Orford was promoted to Principal of BLIS.
As a native speaker in English, Italian and French, Orford has a bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages (with a speciality in German) and Linguistics and a teaching qualification from the world’s leading University in the field of Education, University College London. He also has a Business Master’s Degree in Human Resources and Management.
Orford is a semi-professional footballer since the age of 16, currently plying his trade in France. His most noticeable team was FC Mulhouse. He had the honour to represent his University in the United Kingdom and also played in Switzerland. Orford also coached at the French national U17 level and is continuing to work on his coaching badges.
He was previously employed as an English teaching assistant in the Kantonsschule Zug as part of his education and has also been employed as a language consultant at Castle’s Language Institute Basel from 2014 to 2020.
Orford is a very proud husband to wife Madelaine and father to his son James.
